A safe welcome for clients and visitors
The Welsh Government announced a 2 week firebreak lockdown due to the Covid 19 Coronavirus pandemic. This will commence at 18:00 on Friday 23rd October until Monday 9th November 2020.
To support Welsh Government’s message DJM wishes to update our clients on the level of service we can provide during this period of uncertainty. We are operating on a strict appointment only basis at our office for certain areas of law where it is not possible to deal with our clients matters remotely. We will operate behind closed doors with a greatly reduced staff number for aspects of our service that cannot be dealt with at home.
We respectfully ask all visitors, including clients, to our offices to wear adequate face coverings for their protection and that of our staff. We appreciate that this may not be possible for everyone, but in such circumstances we would ask you make that known to our reception staff upon arrival. We may also request that your temperature is taken when you visit our offices.
We continue to offer our full range of legal services remotely including video conference calls. We have implemented remote working patterns for our legal staff in conjunction with the recent Government guidance and our Solicitors/ Lawyers will be partly working from home. We have tested our remote working systems recently with success.
Such remote working measures follow the guidance set by Government and we have continued to offer seamless service during such times. However, we would respectfully suggest to our clients or visitors to make contact with us before any attempts to call to the office without prior appointment. Due to remote working patterns may result in the person you wish to meet not being on site.
Our usual means of contact via email and telephone remain unchanged. This also applies to our Mumbles office.
We have also asked all DJM employees to continue to follow the social distancing measures and ensuring safe personal hygiene. This will extend to safety screens and the use of masks for your safety and that of our staff.
We hope this does not cause any offence and thank you for your understanding.

At DJM, we want to ensure your safety while still providing excellent service so we have teamed up with Legl to provide you with an online gateway to make payments.
It is the quality of personnel that make a difference to an organisation, and at Douglas-Jones Mercer we believe that the combined talents of our legal team are second to none.
Individually they offer great depth of knowledge in particular aspects of the law. Collectively they offer great breadth. And all of them regularly receive inservice training to keep them up to date on changes in the law. The result is an enthusiastic and lively team ready and willing to tackle any legal problem which our clients present us with.
