Qualifications:

Andrew graduated with a degree in law (LLB) from Aberystwyth University in 2007 and went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the University of the West of England in 2008.

Specialist Area:

Andrew originally joined the firm as a Trainee Solicitor in 2008, completing his training contract in 2010. On qualification, Andrew relocated to Cardiff going on to work for firms ranked within The Lawyer’s top 100 UK law firms before re-joining Douglas-Jones Mercer in 2022.

Andrew advises on a wide range of commercial property areas, including:

• Acquisitions and disposals of development land;
• Purchasing investment properties;
• Landlord and tenant;
• Real estate finance; and
• Social housing

Andrew has vast experience acting for many different types of clients, including:

• National housebuilders and developers;
• Institutional lenders;
• Housing associations throughout England and Wales;
• National companies in capacity as landlord and tenant; and
• Property investment companies.

Andrew is supervised by Michael Price, a Solicitor and head of the Commercial Property team.

Interests:

Andrew enjoys keeping fit, playing golf and watching sport.
